I was drawn to medicine when I was a teenager in Wisconsin and was hit in the face while playing baseball and required reconstructive surgery. Working with my doctors throughout the perioperative period and weeks afterward gave me insight into the incredible impact physicians have in patient’s lives. Part of why I chose anesthesiology is drawn from this personal experience, where I recall my anesthesiologist speaking to me and ensuring me he was going to take excellent care of me just prior to surgery. I strive to care for my own patients in a similar manner, knowing that surgery is a stressful time in their lives. This ability to have a meaningful and significant impact on their experience is one of the things I love most, and my goal is to provide a great anesthesia experience for my patients.
Enjoying time with my wife and four children. I also enjoy outdoor activities including mountain biking, hiking, and camping, as well as traveling and great food!
