As someone who has always enjoyed playing sports, working out, and being active, I have always had an interest in health and healthcare. I spent a lot of time shadowing various healthcare professionals while in high school and in college to try and figure out what area of healthcare in particular interested me. I was instantly intrigued by the practice of anesthesia. Pharmacology and physiology had been some of my favorite courses in school, and I liked the idea of being able to perform hands-on, technical procedures. But even more so, I could see and feel a deep sense of purpose in being a capable, comforting, and calming presence for patients and their loved ones during some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives. I now get to spend my days doing what I fell in love with back during junior year of college, and I am forever grateful for the opportunity and the privilege to do so as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant as a part of the Anesthesia Care Team.
